My favourite word is MADE. I would categorise my work as post-minimal; concerned with the act of making, with choice of materials and with the figurative, metaphorical nature of these things.

I trained as a musician and spent 10 years working in music and theatre. Over this space of time I found that my work became dominated by a need to be solid. Songs became poems, compositions became installations.

My long term aim is integrate the 2 sides of work more fully. As such, I am presently studying with the Open University for a BA (hons) in Art History and Philosophy, fulfilling my need to locate my work between fine art, concrete poetry and contemporary music.
