Salon Contemporary is dedicated to discovering and fostering some of the best new and emerging artists both in the UK and internationally. Based in London, we work with artists, curators, and gallerists. We run programmes whose aim is to present these dynamic individuals onto the international platform.
Salon Contemporary is not another art dealer. This is a vibrant hot-bed and network for new talent, carefully selected by director Samir Ceric from the UK's leading art schools, offering an array of original works that explode onto the art market with refreshing vivacity. Ceric's mission to champion emerging artists manifests itself in an unprecedented apprenticeship programme, which challenges, as well as invests in and nurtures tomorrow's artists, curators and gallerists. Salon Contemporary's unique position, specialising in close work with art programmes in institutions all over the UK, is not only focused on finding the future greats of the art world, but on assisting people at the time when they need it the most. The result is the emergence of the very best of new British talent onto an international programme that spans across Europe, Asia and America and is spreading to the remaining continents.
Salon Contemporary is an expanded and re-branded programme that began as SaLon Gallery in Notting Hill in 2006. Ceric, and those involved with Salon Contemporary have pursued their dedication to new and emerging art to an international level, and in turn, developed as a new organisation with the resources and enthusiasm to pursue supportive and dynamic art platforms for UK artists not only in entering the British art scene, but also the global art scene.
