I am an artist based in Liverpool. I have been involved in many projects and exhibitions as well as having curated shows and events. I am interested in history, folklore and poetry especially the way in which fact and fiction can be reinterpreted, to form new ways of representing images from the past and present. Much of my work revolves around the idea of cult images, religious icons, pioneer women and mythological subject matter. I am particularly interested in influences from my childhood, aiming to re-visit some of the signifiers that caught my imagination as a child.

In terms of my 'finished piece', I enjoy the ongoing historical controversy and the challenge of traditional representation, looking at the transition phases and the process of the changing image. I have an interest in the reinterpretation, decay and renewal of venerable imagery.

My practice is multi disciplinary. Painting, Drawing, Assemblage,Photography and Video.
