Born Norwich, England.
Cooke graduated from 'Norwich School of art and design' in 2003 with a BA (hons) in Fine Art. Since graduating Cooke has been working as a professional artist and curator. In 2004 she was shortlisted for the 'Babylon Gallery Award for an Emerging artist' and was also selected to exhibit at the 'Royale Academy Summer Show' (fringe of 'East International.')Cooke was a founding member of 'Articulate Artists syndicate' (a cooperative of artists and creative practitioners formed to promote the wealth of creativity in the East of England) of which she fulfilled the roles of Co. Secretary and Co. Director. Following the success of a number of exhibitions with 'AAS' Cooke concentrated on her solo career exhibiting both locally and nationally (UK.) In 2006 she was selected for the '2nd Open Competition exhibition' at Byard art gallery, selected by the former Director of the Fitzwilliam museum, Cambridge. Cooke's talent was acknowledged after completing an 'AA2A' artists residency (Artists Access to Art School- national residency scheme)at 'Norwich University College of the Arts (NUCA,)when her work was published in 'a-n magazine' and she was awarded the coveted title- 'AA2A Artist of the Year 2009.' She enjoyed working alongside students and went on to offer her assistance as Student Mentor at NUCA. Following this success Cooke was offered the position of Assistant Director of Art1821 gallery, Norwich (January- September 2010) where she had the opportunity to curate 'Rebirth,' a major international exhibition in collaboration with the 'Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts' and the 'Sainsbury Institute for the Study of Japanese Arts and Culture,' Norwich. Cooke gained a postgraduate diploma in Fine Art from 'Cyprus College of Art' and an MA in Fine Art from 'Northampton University' in 2011 and is currently developing her practice in Cyprus, continuing to exhibit both in the UK and internationally.
