In my work, I am interested in exploring feelings of loss; of physical and emotional experiences when something is destroyed, forgotten or hidden. I draw inspiration from my life - my childhood, my relationships with others. I work small scale to large, mainly in oil. More recently using oil with lead pencil, but am exploring new ways of working constantly.
In 2003 I had my first solo show at Plymouth Arts Centre, then two more successful shows in 2006 and 2008 at John Martin Gallery, London. I have had my work selected for various exhibitions including the BP Portrait Award, The Hunting Art Prize and the London Art Fair. My work is in many private and public collections in the UK and internationally.
I am currently working towards my fourth solo show.
