I enjoy engaging with and trying to subvert the perceptual and material limits of the photograph. Work often incorporates some kind of ‘marker’, intervening in the formal space of the photographic image, interjected during shooting or after printing. I’m also interested in photography’s past incarnations, its influences on modern usage and will happily work with high-end colour digital back down to the C19th ‘hand-made’ wet plate collodion process on glass.
I completed my MA Photography at London College of Communication, University of the Arts London in 2009 and have had work shown at The Gothenburg Museum of Art in Sweden, Bloomberg New Contemporaries and The New Art Gallery Walsall in the UK. I’ve been selected as an Axis MA Star and had work featured online with The Guardian and The Telegraph, work is in private collections and the public collection of the University of the Arts London.
