We live in a new age. The amount of information exchanged is staggering. Art needs to develop new strategies to compete with the increase in information. Art should invade our lives, and not merely be something that hangs on a wall in a museum. With the internet and new publishing techniques I try to put out work constantly; to throw images into the great river of information.
• Ian Gamache is a multidisciplinary artist from Canada. His work is rooted in the traditional mark making disciplines (painting and drawing) but he also incorporates photography, collage, onsite projects, performance and installation. Gamache has exhibited often in Canada, and appeared in group shows in the United States and the UK. He also now uses the internet to disseminate his art. The internet provides him an immediate way to display and publish art. With his website and other social media Gamache publishes new art almost daily. •
