Artist and writer working in Oxford.

My practice is very much a spatial one, which deals with site, place and non-place. This
encompasses an interest in public space and the nature of being public in space: socially,
politically and physically. I hope to engage with how we use space and how
we form space in public planning and architecture. At the core of these
ideas is an investigation into the nature of being an 'I' amongst all that is other.

The medium in which I work is varied. Often I work site specifically, adding or removing
from a space in order to subtley change its elements and make it strange in some way
and to make everyday space more engaging or noticeable. I am interested in this affirmative action of a person self consciously taking up space. There is a connection within this to an awareness of social responsibility and the possibility to affect the space around us.

More recently I have begun to incorporate my writing practice into my work. As well as
writing articles for online publications, I have begun to include written work with drawings
and public installations.
