Ellie Davies currently lives and works in London.

She gained an MA in Photography at London College of Communication.
Her work has been exhibited in the UK and abroad.

Ellie’s second UK Solo show entitled Come with Me – New Landscape by Ellie Davies shows in London from 20th October 2011 at The Print House Gallery, E8.

Her first European Solo exhibition showed at Brucie Collections, in Kiev, Ukraine from 17th March – 2nd May 2011.

She has recently been commissioned to create a large-scale bracken piece for The Edge Sculpture Trail, at Heathercombe on Dartmoor, which is on display 3rd – 29th September.

Recent exhibitions include Nine-Point Perspective: Ways of Seeing at Hotshoe Gallery, London from 12th to 30th Aug 2011. Also, her first UK solo show entitled Smoke and Mirrors: Solo Exhibition showed at 10GS, London, from 12th May – 5th September 2011. Other recent exhibitions include Symbiosis at Hoxton Art Gallery, London from 19th May to 17th June 2011, Lens Culture International Exposure Awards: 31 Contemporary Photographers: at Gallery 291, 291 Geary Street, San Francisco from April 28th-2nd May. Also, The Tallinn 15th Print Triennial at Kumu Art Museum, Tallinn, Estonia from 20th January 2011, the Salon Photo Open 2011 at Matt Roberts Gallery, Vyner Street, London from 3rd – 26th Feb, the Foto8 Summer Show at Host Gallery, London in September 2010, The Exeter Contemporary Open 2010 at Phoenix Gallery in Exeter, Sight Unseen at Photofusion Gallery, London May 2010, ArtSway Open 09 at ArtSway Gallery, New Forest, and New Visionaries 09 at The New York Photo Awards in Brooklyn, New York.

Ellie has recently been awarded an Honourable Mention in the Lens Culture International Exposure Awards 2010, 1st Place in the Fine Art Landscape category of the 2010 PX3 Paris Photo Prize, The Exeter Phoenix 2010 Audience Choice Award, ArtSlant Showcase Juried Winner in 2010 and 2011, and Commended in the LPA Landscape Awards 2010. She has also been awarded The New Brewery Arts Open ‘Public Choice Award’ 2009, The Charmain Adams Award 2009, The International Photography Awards 2009 - Official Selection, The Paris Photo Prize 2009: Honourable Mention, and The New York Photo Awards 2008: Honourable Mention.

Her Smoke and Mirrors series has recently been featured in Conscientious, Lens Culture, Art Ukraine, Tree Magazine, Le Monde Magazine and The London Independent Photography Selected Artist Showcase. She was recently selected Jotta Artist of the month and Axis Curator’s Choice.

Her work is held in private collections in the United Arab Emirates, the UK, the US, Central and Eastern Europe, and Russia.
