“Exiled to the wilderness of nonconformity I have found comfort some place between Zen and the professionally weird. A paper-headed pajama-clad raconteur translating observations and reactions with graphic pun and insinuation, my work continues to venture into the absurdities of socio-political, philosophical and psychoanalytical themes.”
I knew how to draw and paint long before I was introduced to the computer. I do rely on these skills, and the blatant disregard for them, with my work. I hate having to defend “digital” but there still seems to be a prejudice about it. Especially the work I do. It’s almost as if I’m doing something wrong by not fitting in with others who work with similar tools. Am I a designer? Am I a graphic artist? Or a fine artist? Or none of the above? It doesn’t matter to me. I have things to say, so I say them, my way.
