My work weaves the real with the imagined to evoke a narrative or poignant moment. I curate found objects and imbue them with a sense of nostalgia or romance, treating these objects with reverence so that forgotten moments are recast in the present. Romanticism and the role of affect as a source of impact are of primary importance.
My interest in social psychology is reflected in the exploration of the universal emotions that connect us as human beings, I am particularly interested in our emotional response to beauty and melancholy. Employing an aesthetic that engages us as a form of visual poetry, I aim to craft work that invites intimacy and personal involvement.
