Becky's work, in the broadest sense, looks at ethics and responsibility on both a personal and a global level, drawing inspiration from current and controversial issues.

Jason’s work generally examines a Postmodern society pandering to the controlling influence of an overly authoritarian state, fueled by the greed of commerce. Focusing on the exploration of individual trudges through 21st century life. Taking their place in a society contentedly restraining itself to the well trodden path laid before it.

Códice Tuna is the name of the international art collective founded by Sinuhé David and Borayin Larios in 2008. Códice Tuna in Spanish means: "The Indian-fig Codex" and it draws back from our Mexican roots denoting, like the cactus fruit, the pungent and itchy but acid-sweet vision of our art.

It reads itself like a pre-hispanic codex where the word and image coexist to tell a story. Therefore we call our approach "visual literature" because often words accompany our images. We are currently exploring the use of languages other than Spanish for our project.

Artist biography:

everything I create is the unfiltered expression of my subconscious mind. I never approach a blank canvas with any intentions of what I will or will not attempt to portray. Most of the time I have absolutely no idea what i'm doing until i've started painting. I feel that this gives me more freedom; there are no mistakes and I am not trying to manipulate the creative flow.

I live and work in London. After a spell in design I returned to painting and began working at the National Gallery of Art in London. My intention was to earn a living and improve my understanding of the craft of picture making. For many years since completing my M.A. from the Royal College of Art I have done nothing but draw. I valued the idea of letting my work develop organically away from the need to produce a finished product.
