Within my site responsive drawings, installations and objects, I am fascinated with the interplay between the spatial, conceptual, and architectonic conditions of a place. Through an accumulative means of building with utilitarian materials, industrial felt, paper towels, clothing, new and used hospital and bath towels, I make structures that address mass and void, line, weight, density, compression and expansion. Within these qualities, I find parallels in the physical and psychological states of the body, and the human condition.

The core of my painting practice explores topographical themes, and is concerned with the relationship between the natural and artificial environment. My most recent body of work, Strange Dichotomy, addressed the industrial archaeology of the Tamar Valley.
I am currently developing new work on the archaeology of Sardinia.

My practice is about memories of places, people and events; about everyday life and how an emotion can be transcribed into a visual narrative. Through drawing, collages and photography I isolate incidents, re-conveying them as a story. I take photographs incessantly and then carefully and systematically wade through them to find those that can be used as a stage setting to bring back moments, that conjure up drama's about relationships.
