Francisca Aninat (1979)is a Chilean artist who lives and works in London. She did her MA in Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, London, after completing her BA in University of Maryland, USA. She has exhibited widely throughout South America and Europe as well.

Her practice develops how the language of painting can be expanded towards different conceptions and understandings. Therefore, she creates paintings that become three dimensional, that deal with the space in which they are exhibited, and that reveal the process in which they were made. By seeing her work, the viewer can easily trace how everyday materials can be transformed and revisited as high art ones.

Her artwork has made strong, interesting and creative connections between everyday life and the formalities of the language of painting.
