The members who have portfolios are those who already have work in the artselector collection - which you can find by clicking the art tab in the menu. We are always on the look out for fresh, critically engaged contemporary art for the artselector collection.
If you don't currently have access to a full portfolio use the photo section on your art profile page to show some examples of your work. You can upload up to 8 images and they open up in a nice light box type display when clicked. To do this just go to your art profile page - click 'user profile' the click on 'media'.
We regularly look through users art profiles looking for new work - but it's a good idea to make yourself more visible on the site by interacting on forums, starting your own group, submitting news items and other content. By drawing attention to yourself our admissions panel is much more likely to notice you and your work!
William, thanks for the user guide! I'll promise to be 'noisier' as soon as i have my internet connection back and don't have to do things from an internet cafe... i've been told this could take some time, more red tape in japan than i was expecting.
Yes, the system has changed. Only people who apply and are accepted into the artselector contemporary art directory (ACAD) are able to upload images to their profile page. This article explains where we are heading with this: http://www.artselector.com/news/new-artselector-contemporary-art-directo...
I'm still a little confused. I understand about the selection process for uploading images to the profile page, but my profile page doesn't seem to show up. Is there something I should have clicked?
I've just emailed you about this already but thought I'd explain here also for the benefit of other.
We use a page caching system for logged out users - this means that when you log out any changes you have made to your profile page won't be visible for an hour or so. We also use this delay to moderate content.
I'm having the same problem....
Good question!

Hi William,
I can't seem to find either user profile or a media tab. Has the system changed? I'd like to add some pics of my work.
Thanks,
