Helen Pynor, the award winning Australian artist, will surprise visitors to GV Art this summer with her powerful portrayal of the interior human body. By fashioning a visual language that neither revels in the sensationalism of gore, nor presents the body coolly as an object for the medical gaze, she transforms what might have been clinical depictions into works of art with stories to tell.

In partnership with Modern Art Oxford, Launch Collaborative present new sculptures and work in progress by artist Matt Clark in the gallery's Project Space. Building fabled narratives, Clark constructs spaces and objects that are wholly reflective and often psychologically charged and mysterious, that perhaps could no longer exist without the stories they embody.

Its invisible and immaterial nature enables forms of identification by also unsettling any form of static representation. Sound moves in and through us to immerse the body in energetic motion that is equally social and politically charged.
