Yann Jost started working as a stonemason at the age of fifteen. Born in Strasbourg in 1971, he began making sculpture when he was twenty-seven. Sculpture is his passion. He is inspired by everything around him, especially the visions which come to him when they are least expected, as photographs, flashes which he then attempts to materialise in whatever way he can.

Yann has travelled widely as a stonemason and sculptor, in France, Germany and the Antilles. He has restored many historic buildings, creating pieces in marble for new buildings and also for his own sculptures.
