Laurent Bonté is a plastician whose works result from the meeting between picture and word, between bareness and sophistication. The artist shoots fragments of our daily environment, which he accompanies by an eloquent or poetic sentence, characteristic of his works.

These metaphors conceptualize another language, differently interpretable by each of us. The spectator, through the presence of the word and the picture, finds a «starting point» to feel the work and what it means.

 

The artist works in the interstice between the expression of the thought through language and the limit of the picture, thus creating what he calls «Intr@worlds», evidences/points of view of an artist of this beginning of the 21st century, revealing the   incoherences,  the inconsistencies, the ignominies and the blindness facing the evolutions and the manipulations of pictures of our world.

 

Through the advertising message known, often inflicted and art, Laurent Bonté astonishes, surprises, embellishes, disturbs, shocks, and in the end, arouses new sensations.

 

He sends us back to our own perception of humanity.
