The last performance of this magical tale was due to take place last week at Keswick’s Theatre by the Lake but was sadly cancelled due to adverse weather conditions. The Haunted Trees is based on a traditional Cumbrian folk tale, a magical tale that tells the story of a farmer and his family. When the older sons vanish it is up to the youngest son to solve the mystery behind their disappearance…

The play is inspired by the recent floods that devastated both the Cumbrian community and landscape. It explores the relationship between man and nature using a unique combination of live performance, music, animation and puppetry.
