'In the act of painting lies the strength of dreaming. For me, dreaming and painting are drawing from a source of symbols, myths and archetypes which are like tangled and muddled roots. Creation takes place in the heart of obscurity, it mystery remains. What is given to the eye, lies here and now. Painting comes from gesture and breathing, it visual presence needs no further explanations.'
