Between my Finger and my Thumb
Schwartz Projects continues its investigation into current curatorial practice at Schwartz Gallery by providing a platform for emerging and more established curators working in the UK and internationally.
kobetsvasey is an ongoing project established in March 2008 by artists Robert Kobets and George Vasey. The project grew out of a conversation about creating a context to show new work. kobetsvasey acts as a platform for shared interests beyond the artists’ own studio practices. They are interested in models of artist-run initiatives and drawing on DIY approaches to exhibiting work. kobetsvasey is committed to a fluid and discursive approach; the project’s definition becoming apparent through its development.
Between my Finger and my Thumb is a group show of 15 artists. The exhibition attempts to explore ideas of curatorial responsibility. kobetsvasey will use the submitted works as instructions to produce an intervention into the gallery space. This intervention is intended to simultaneously present the show as an autonomous installation whilst also retaining the singularity of each individual piece.
