The title of this exhibition references the revolutionary text by Sir Thomas More. At times the book has been claimed a satirical piece as much as a criticism of European society. Through this novel More brings to question the relationship between socialist utopian ideals and the realities of human existence.
Artworks in the exhibition will include otherworldly photography by James Bacchi-Andreoli, a sonic and sculptural piece by Steven Dickie and a painting by David Jones. As well as this Wieland Payer will present a series of pastel and charcoal paintings representing distant landscapes with peculiar characters and architectural features.
Private view: 26 Jan 2012 - 6:00pm
