Pussy Cat

One of the Sexidermy series, combinig taxidermy with erotic themes, the Pussy Cat is of course a visual and verbal pun. However the apparent whimsy of the title is at odds with the shocking and disturbing execution. She lies regal on a cushion and from a distance looks very natural. Only on closer inspection does one see the very realistic human vagina in the middle of its face. Shocking, intriguing, funny, sick, are all words which have been used to describe this piece. It is what one brings to it, which colours your experience and that is its power. You are left to examine your own reaction.
