Feminist Outings could be the title of a witch hunt. The witches are the feminists. They stand accused - sometimes of ugliness, others of frumpiness and often of uptightness.

In this body of work, I put the popular view and the feminists to task infront of the lens. They are captured and someone's proven wrong.

All my images are social and conceptual and part of wider projects that explore power and submission - these images included. Just as my art photographs try to capture immediacy and vigour by using a documentary style, so my documentary photographs are part of a larger "artistic concept" - rather than just records of events or quirky citings captured. All my work has strong political and feminist content.

I want my art to be seen in the context of the real social upheavals that are going on now. My photographs always respond to what's outside and real.
