Star and Dove contemporary artspace

The Star and Dove contemporary artspace, is located in one of Bristol’s more artistic communities and operates from within the recently refurbished skittles alley in the Star and Dove bar and restaurant on St. Lukes Road. Totterdown. The city’s bar and restaurant is owned by Jamie Oliver’s ex head chef Eamon Fullalove, with the gallery being co-run by his wife Christiane Fullalove and curator Lindsay Hughes.
The gallery is committed to the showing and promotion of contemporary art. Operating between the commercial and funded space, the gallery collaborates with artists, arts organisations, universities, curators and projects in Bristol, on an annual programme of solo exhibitions, talks, screenings and events, working with emerging and established contemporary British artists.
The gallery is being launched on the 1 May 2008, preview 6-11pm with an exhibition Starter for 6. Artists include; Chris Barr, Louisa Fairclough, Anton Goldenstein, Mark Harris, Justin Mckeown and Gillian Wylde.
