A visual artist, born in Cairo in 1977. Lives and works in Cairo, Egypt. Studied art at the Art Education Faculty, Helwan University from 1994 through 1999. MFA in Arts; Modernity and post modernity in Egypt and the world in 2004. Preparing for a PhD in Arts; Reflections in the concept of eternity in Egyptian art since 2005. Her work includes glass sculptures, paintings and installations; her concept discusses ideas such as eternity, soul, traditions, how a female loves; she did a film called "Three". It talks about three females who lived in
 
 

different eras. The first is Isis, God of wisdom at the times of ancient Egyptians. The second is Virgin Mary, symbol of love and purity. The third is a modern young woman who deals with all the contradictions as a human being. The film is slow and calm, like a movement of prayer or a priestly dance and improvised pastoral punctured natural movements associated with the reality. The music has a sense of calm Sofia turned to improvised music of the voices of street cafes and rituals of birth. The film presents a state of confusion among the three characters, none the less, they sometimes agree in their search for love.
