Well, if you think that arts funding is being directed to the Olympics then fear not, for all artists in Britain can now participate too. All you have to do is think of a great idea and submit it to the following website. The commission will be worth £250,000 and if you do get shortlisted then you will get some sort of grant to further the design.

Dont think that you'll get paid for your initial idea though.

In Wales the deadline is May sometime.
If you live in England its been divided up in to 9 regions.

Interestingly the judging panels have already been decided in England, but no where else.
