A Memory of Grass
The photograph "A Memory of Grass" was created using an image of a landscape along Selms Rd. near Bridger, Montana during Autumn after haying season. The green, swaying dress serves as a reminder of the lush green grass that once stood in those fields.
Most of the photographs you will see here are combinations of images of the landscape near my house. I like to combine them with images of dresses I have collected over time in thrift shops. The dresses I like to think of as representative of my own connection with the land and it's meaning for me in terms of my own history, the history of the people that settled here. In broader terms my all my work explores the ideas of time, transition, joy and mortality.
