This exhibition of the British/Russian artist Valery Koroshilov focuses on the complex and intriguing relationship between realism and abstraction in contemporary painting. Over thirty works showing realistically painted human figure or objects set in a semi-abstract background is the artist’s attempt to investigate the qualities of both representations as they apply to form, colour and pictorial space, and the conditions when their co-existence is complimentary and mutually beneficial. read more »
